Anyone who visits us instore knows how keen on medicinal mushrooms we are! So it's with great excitement that we now have available instore and online an easy way to get your daily dose of 'shrooms. Four Sigma Foods have created 3 instant drinks from our favourite mushrooms. Each can be mixed with hot water to create a hot nutritious beverage, added to a smoothie or stirred into you cereal or soup. But of course you can be as creative as you like. Raw Chocolate 'Shroom Truffles
- 100g cacao butter
- 3 tbs of coconut oil
- 2 tbs of raw cacao powder1 tbs of carob powder
- 1 tbs of lucuma powder
- pinch of salt
- 1/4 cup of coconut flakes
- 3/4 cup almond powder
- 1-3 Four Sigma Foods Instants Mushrooms instant sachets
- dried dates, nuts, berries etc.
You’ll also need some extra for example carob and/or lucuma powder, coconut flakes and/or bee pollen for decoration.
Put the cacao butter and coconut oil into a saucepan. Put the pan over boiling water to make a double bath, lower the heat and let melt, keep temperature low.. Mix the powders with a wooden spoon until smooth. Remove from the boiler and add Four Sigma Foods Instants Mushrooms of your choice, and some dried dates or nuts and dried berries. Leave in the fridge to set. Remember to stir once in a while to get a good paste for truffles.
Make tiny balls from the paste and dip them into different powders or sprinkle some bee pollen on top. Let them set for half an hour in the fridge before serving.From: Four Sigma Foods Recipe by: Hanna Jormanainen
