Weleda

Weleda natural skincare was founded in Switzerland in 1921 by a Dutch medical doctor Ita Wegman and the renowned philosopher Rudolf Steiner. The Weleda aim is to help everyone, old and young, to restore health and maintain wellbeing through the use of organic skincare. Weleda are committed to doing so naturally, ethically, safely, without animal experimentation and without damaging the environment. This is deeply rooted in all aspects of the Weleda natural skincare.

Weleda made a decision from the outset to avoid artificial ingredients and use only materials from the natural and organic world. By using essential oils in natural bodycare products for their preservative properties, Weleda avoid the need to use artificial preservatives such as parabens. Many Weleda body care products bear the BDIH kitemark (certified natural cosmetic) so you can tell the product is genuinely natural. We love the everyday effectiveness of these natural products.
