At CONTENT, we’ve always championed brands that combine performance with purpose - and Wonderblush has become one of our favourites. We are thrilled to be introducing this Canadian brand to the UK for the first time.
Founded by Montréal-based makeup artist Mélanie Hachey, the brand captures the essence of modern, conscious beauty: refined, wearable colour paired with nourishing, skin-loving ingredients and considered packaging. Imelda caught up with Mélanie to learn more about her journey, her approach to clean beauty, and what makes Wonderblush so special.

Imelda: To begin with, can you tell us what inspired you to create Wonderblush?
Mélanie: As a makeup artist, I had the privilege of accompanying women in their day-to-day lives - really listening to what they wanted from their routines, what they felt was missing, and what made them feel their best. I also had the chance to work alongside a team of makeup artists, learning which textures, shades, and formulas were true must-haves in a professional kit, yet could still be used easily by women in their everyday beauty rituals.
I wanted products that performed at a professional level but were still gentle, intuitive, and simple enough for daily wear - products that made people feel confident, not covered up.
Wonderblush was born from that vision: makeup that enhances natural beauty, feels effortless, and cares for the skin every step of the way.

Imelda: I really love how thoughtful the range is from packaging to the shade range to the imagery - how would you describe the Wonderblush philosophy?
Mélanie: Our philosophy is “beauty, simplified.” I believe makeup should feel effortless - enhancing your natural features rather than masking them. Every Wonderblush product is formulated to be intuitive, comfortable, and nourishing. We focus on clean, minimal formulations enriched with skincare-quality ingredients so your skin looks and feels its best.
Imelda: Your products have such an elegant and modern simplicity. What guides your product & packaging development?
Mélanie: I’m inspired by timeless beauty, products that feel modern without chasing trends. Every formula starts with texture and skin health in mind, using naturally derived ingredients like squalane, shea butter and vitamin E for a luxurious, skin-loving feel.
We also think about how each product enhances a person’s beauty ritual. From the way it feels to apply to the elegant, considered packaging (our compacts are 100% PCR and the lipstick & balm are in metal cases), the goal is to make every step feel effortless and elevated. True luxury is in that overall experience.
Imelda: This collection is such a beautifully curated edit of colour products - It truly feels as good as it looks, striking that balance between performance, comfort, and care. How did you decide which items to begin with, and which are your personal favourites?
Mélanie: We started with products that are designed to bring ease and confidence to your everyday routine. They just slot in with your complexion products easily and effortlessly. Some of my favourites are:
Le Rouge Lipstick delivers rich, hydrating colour with a beautiful satin finish - not too shiny. It glides on smoothly, keeping lips soft and comfortable throughout the day.
Le Hâle Bronzing Powder gives a natural, sun-kissed glow while caring for the skin with Squalane, Shea Butter, and Argan Oil.
And our Blush Compacts add just the right amount of radiance - a healthy, luminous glow rather than an overt shimmer.

Imelda: Why is using skincare-quality ingredients so important to you?
Mélanie: Makeup should be an extension of your skincare. Ingredients like plant-derived emollients, antioxidant-rich oils, and natural biopolymers help to hydrate, protect, and support the skin barrier. Our aim is to create products that even those with sensitive skin can wear daily and feel good about - makeup that nourishes while enhancing.
Imelda: And finally, what do you hope people feel when they wear Wonderblush?
Mélanie: Confidence, ease, and joy. I want people to feel radiant and comfortable in their own skin. Makeup should enhance your individuality - it’s not about transformation, it’s about expression.
Imelda: .... yes! About feeling content :)
