Refund policy
ORDER CANCELLATION
For all customers, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days under the Distance Selling Regulations. Please confirm your cancellation in writing via email to help@beingcontent.com. We aim to dispatch orders the same day, so if your item has already been dispatched, you will need to return the goods to us once received.
If you're shopping with us from within the European Union, new EU regulations (Directive 2023/2673) came into effect on 19th June 2026, requiring online retailers to provide a clear, accessible digital withdrawal function for eligible purchases. You can use this to cancel your order within 14 days of delivery, without needing to give a reason.
Returning an item from a cancelled order that has already been dispatched is at the cost of the purchaser.
We will refund your order payment on receipt of the goods in satisfactory condition - unused, unopened, and with undamaged packaging. We are legally obliged to process your refund within 14 working days.
PROMO ITEMS AND GIFT WITH PURCHASE
If your have received a gift with purchase or promotional item you will be required to return it if you cancel your order - or if your order falls below the qualifying amount when the cancelled items are returned.
STOCK AVAILABILITY
From time to time, stock may be temporarily unavailable. If this affects your order, we will contact you directly. Available items will be dispatched immediately, with any out-of-stock items shipped as soon as they become available.
NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS
Certain items cannot be returned, including:
- Perishable goods, such as food or magazines.
- Intimate or sanitary products.
- Gift cards.
- Some health and personal care items.
- Opened products and cosmetics.
A receipt or proof of purchase is required to complete any return. Please note returns are not received by the manufacturer - all returns should be sent directly to us.
In some cases, only a partial refund may be granted. For example:
- Items showing obvious signs of use
- Items not in original condition, or with damaged inner or outer packaging
- Items returned more than 30 days after delivery
REFUNDS
Once your return is received and inspected, we'll email to confirm receipt and notify you whether your refund has been approved. If approved, your refund will be processed back to your original payment method within a reasonable timeframe. If you haven't received your refund within this period, please contact us at help@beingcontent.com.
We do not refund the cost of shipping on cancelled orders.
SALE ITEMS
All sale items are final and cannot be refunded. Only regular-priced items are eligible for a refund.
EXCHANGES
We only offer exchanges for items that are defective or damaged. If you'd like to exchange an item for the same product, please log your request via email at help@beingcontent.com.
GIFTS
If an item was marked as a gift at checkout and shipped directly to you, we'll need confirmation from the original purchaser to process an exchange. Where this can be verified, you'll receive a gift credit for the value of your return, issued once the item has been received.
If the item wasn't marked as a gift, or was shipped to the gift-giver to pass on, the credit will be issued to the original purchaser instead.
RETURN SHIPPING
For cancelled or unwanted orders, you are responsible for return shipping costs, which are non-refundable. If a refund is issued, the cost of the original outbound shipping will be deducted where applicable.
If an order is returned to us due to non-collection, a resending fee will apply. If you haven't received your order within the estimated delivery window, please contact us for tracking information.
We recommend using a trackable shipping service for all returns, as we cannot guarantee receipt of items sent without tracking.
