Innersense I Create Definition

I have long, soft curls and this is the only product that gives enough hold without making my hairs look stringy and dry. For less cast, you can layer it with moisturizing leave-in or pair with proteins for more texture. One question to the brand: will you sell refill pouches for the foams in the future? Would be nice to reuse the bottles instead of buying new ones.

Probably a great product, just not for my hair. My hair didn’t like this at all. I’m so bummed. I have fussy, 2c/3a fine color-treated curly hair and for some reason it was just too sticky and drying for my hair. I think someone with thicker and healthier hair or low porosity possibly could rock this product.

This stuff is AMAZING! I have baby fine, low porosity 3A curls and this styling foam gives me amazing definition and strong hold! I will probably layer the "I Create Volume" lotion underneath just at my roots, because using this foam alone I got no volume at all. But I can't fault it - it's supposed to give definition and hold, and it does just that. And a little goes a long way. I'm very impressed, and I will continue to use and repurchase this. It's difficult for me to find stylers that don't weigh my hair down, and this does the job beautifully.

I'm an Innersense girlie now. My hair has totally transformed. I love how it looks, I love how it feels, and I love how it smells.

I love the idea of using natural products on my thick, course curly red hair. I think I purchased every product that was for my type of hair in the Innersense line within the first month. I am still trying to find the perfect combination for wash day and refreshes in between. Everyone is different. So I believe the right combination has to be tried and true.
My hair is much better but I do wish I had more training for knowing and understanding this curly hair journey I am on.

As others have noted, a little goes a long way! Start small as directions state: 1-2 pumps and adjust from there. I used about six pumps the first time and my hair was a crunchy, tangled mess. Now with two pumps I get great definition that last for days. I have lots of fine 2c/3a hair.

I am so happy that Innersense uses organic ingredients! However, after using the shampoo, conditioner and mousse for about a month, my hair is dry and my curls have become frizzier. I may try a different leave-in option, but thus far, I'm disappointed.

I did not read the website very well on this one :joy: I have fine 2c/3a curl type and I put like 8 pumps of this stuff in my hair like I did with my previous curl foam and my curls were literally cemented in place for a week. I could not break the gel cast no matter what I tried. This is VERY STRONG HOLD!! I now use 2-3 pumps on my whole head and it works wonders and I can wear my curls for up to a week.

I Create Definition gives me exactly what I’ve been looking for -- medium hold, great definition, and soft, touchable curls without being weighed down. Definitely a repurchase and my current HG!

I love this stuff so much. It doesn’t make my wavy hair crunchy, it really does hold and I can still air dry.

Like other reviewers, I have had massive issues traveling with it and the stickiness that is so great for my hair, ends up all over my other items. Last time I put it in a ziploc bag and when I got to my destination, there was about 1/2 the bottle that had leaked into the cap. The overall cap held most of it in but something isn’t working and I noticed the pump doesn’t lock.

Not sure I’ll buy this for travel again until that’s been resolved, but I’ll use it at home!

It does not hold the curl all day

While I like the curls it creates, no amount of scrunching or hair oil will break the cast. I don't like my hair to feel stiff, crunchy and tangled.

It took me several weeks of washing and styling to figure out my current routine with this mousse. I have fine kinky-coily hair and, in the beginning, it left my hair crunchy, hard like a helmet, and flaky. To prevent those issues, I now apply the mousse to my sopping wet hair in sections, from root to tip. I keep a spray bottle nearby incase my hair starts to dry too fast. I've both let my coils air dry and used a hairdryer on low after working the product through. The mousse keeps my hair defined until my next wash day in 7-10 days. It's not perfect, but I'm satisfied with the results.

I have very dense but very fine curly-coily hair that's naturally too soft, so my hair actually needs a strong cast. I layered this foam between I Create Curl Memory and I Create Hold and I love it! The cast is strong enough to hold up in southern humidity while not leaving any build up on my hair. I'll definitely repurchase!

This is my new favorite styling product! I have multiple chemical sensitivity and I have tried so many different natural styling products that weigh my hair down, make my scalp itch, or don't work well in my fine curly hair. This mousse is light, creates beautiful definition, leaves my hair shiny without a sticky residue, and even seems to be repairing my dry ends. A little goes a long way and I don't have to cake my hair in product anymore just to get smooth curls. The definition lasts all day - even at the beach.

I was worried about the scent because I am very sensitive to fragrance and it does have a light botanical scent. No headaches from this product though and once my hair is dry, the scent disappears.

Great clean mousse that works! It is worth the cost and I will definitely repurchase.

This product has finally given me the ability to air dry my hair and leave house with it down. I missed a piece of hair and you can see the difference between my normal air dried hair and the definition this product gives. I’ve tried tons of gels and tricks for curly hair and nothing looked good, but this was so light and great hold for my more wavy hair.

I Create Definition is the only natural product I've tried that enhances my curls and holds them in place without frizz. Thank you Innersense!

This product is very sticky. It did not help my hair.

Even a small amount makes my hair sticky and stiff.

It does what it says it does: HOLD. I used this, along with the I create hold and I could not break the cast. I had to rewet my hair. Omgosh, you don't need a lot of these products, which I am not used to. I have used less, and it's easier to break cast with just the definition. However, this product weighs my hair down & makes my hair feel very dirty, and I was once a week and use the shampoo and conditioner,which I LOVE. I love this line, I just don't think this one product is right for my hair, even tho I'm looking for definition and hold, this is too much for me.

Did not achieve desired results

This is a good one-product solution for days when I shower at the gym at work. My curls look good and last until the next wash day.

I LOVE this stuff. It has a firm hold but is super lightweight for my fine curls. It scrunches out nicely with a little oil so my hair isn’t crunchy! The only time I have issues is if my hair is too dry when I put it in. Then it’s a bit crunchy. But otherwise I’m obsessed!
